The kitchen is a small space, with the grill, ovens, counter space to prepare food, and an overhead vent on the left side of the photograph and dishware, utensils, and shelving on the right side of the photograph. The floor is black and whict checkered tile. The person closest to the photographer has short, dark hair, a visor hat, a short sleeved shirt, a white apron around the waist, and light-colored jeans. They are standing facing the dishware and utensils and placing food on a plate. The second person is standing nearest the back left corner of the kitch; directly behind them is a wall with a vertical sign that reads "CAFE," which is to the direct left of the window. The second person also has short, dark hair and is wearing a light-colored shirt and light-colored jeans with dark-colored shoes. They are holding a piece of bread in their left hand, with the right hand reaching for something, but the edge of the oven blocks the view of what they are holding.

Denise Lisa was a local photographer for San Diego Pride, The Gayzette Magazine and Nexus Magazine. Nexus had a very short run of 7 issues, released from October 1983 to April 1984. Most of the photos and negatives are related to Nexus articles.
