A black and white photo of the outdoor entrance to Big Kitchen Café in the Golden Hill neighborhood of San Diego. Depicted are two storefronts, with Big Kitchen on the right and Big Closet on the left. The building is a light color and has stonework accents along the base of the wall under the window (horizontal) an along the right side next to the door (vertical). Above the window are two signs; the highest sign is a large, circular Coca-Cola sign with a white, rectangular sign that reads: "Big Kitchen" directly underneath. At the bottom left corner there is the back window of a Toyota Starlet.

Denise Lisa was a local photographer for San Diego Pride, The Gayzette Magazine and Nexus Magazine. Nexus had a very short run of 7 issues, released from October 1983 to April 1984. Most of the photos and negatives are related to Nexus articles.
