Biography or History:
Blaine Avenue in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego was renamed Harvey Milk Street on Tuesday May 22, 2012, making it the nation's first street named after the first openly Gay man elected to public office in California. Milk was stationed in San Diego in 1954. Harvey Milk Street in San Diego leads to the San Diego LGBT Community Center.
