Denise Lisa photographed Jim Prentice, Rod Barlow, Rob Carroll, and Vernon Ricker at Pacific Fitness Center for Nexus Magazine circa January 1984. Their photographs were used in an article titled "Closure of Pacific Fitness Center forced by unworkable economics," written by Dan Dryden.

Denise Lisa was a local photographer for San Diego Pride, The Gayzette Magazine and Nexus Magazine. Nexus had a very short run of 7 issues, released from October 1983 to April 1984. Most of the photos and negatives are related to Nexus articles.
